Yousra Named As UNAIDS Goodwill Ambassador

The Middle East and North Africa United Nations Program for Aids has named Egyptian
actress, Yousra, as a goodwill ambassador. The event, held in the Cairo Marriott Hotel on January 31st, featured attendees including Jan Beagle, Deputy Executive Director of UNAIDS, Dr. Nabil El Araby, the Arab League’s Secretary General, as well as a host of ministers and ambassadors along with several well-known actors and personalities.

As part of her new role, Yousra will aim to play a vital role in spreading awareness about AIDS, opening up new avenues for virus carriers to have their needs heard and provided for, along with generally helping to remove the social stigma attached to the disease in the MENA region. Further, Yousra will also aim to increase both disease inspection and detection, especially among young adults, in an effort to help in achieving the global goal of ending the heinous disease by 2030.

As is always the case, eniGma magazine was there at the event, and recorded this exclusive video featuring the event’s prestigious attendees.
